Ontario reports 105 new cases of COVID-19, one new death

Ontario is reporting 105 new cases of COVID-19 and one new death.

This marks the fourth straight day the province reported over 100 cases after seeing new cases dip to double digits earlier this month.

According to numbers released Monday, there have been 41,507 cases of COVID-19 in Ontario.

Over 90 per cent are resolved, while 2,798 people have died from the virus.

Currently, there are 1,036 active cases.

 

Here’s how the numbers break down in our region:

Haldimand-Norfolk: 0 new cases, 23 active cases

Brant: 0 new cases, 11 active cases

Hamilton: 7 new cases, 50 active cases** (this is 7 new cases since Friday; active cases have not been updated since Aug. 20 as the city transitions to a new reporting system, )

Niagara: 1 new case, 28 active cases

Halton: 4 new cases, 26 active cases
