Ontario reporting 124 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday

Ontario is reporting 124 new cases of COVID-19 today. That is a 0.3% increase from the previous day. It is the second straight day that the province has reported more than 100 cases, following two straight days which new infections were below that number.
The province also processed over 33,000 tests for the second straight day.
“Locally, 28 of 34 public health units are reporting five or fewer cases, with 16 of them reporting no new cases,” Ontario Minister of Health Christine Elliott said in a tweet.
Two additional deaths were also recorded, bringing the total to 2,777. The province is also saying that 163 new cases have been resolved bringing that total to 35,237 (89%).
Locally, Hamilton has recorded a total of 887 cases with 17 still being active, 46 deaths, and 826 resolved cases. The Niagara Region has 863 cases with 62 active, 64 deaths, and 747 resolved. Halton has 827 cases, 14 active, 26 deaths, and 788 resolved.
