Ontario government announces $11 billion in relief for businesses

The Ontario government has announced $11 billion in relief and support for workers and businesses amid U.S. tariff uncertainty.
The province says that the plan includes a six-month tax deferral starting April 1 that will free up $9 billion in cash flow.
Another $2 billion rebate is being issued to safe employers through the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, following a similar $2 billion rebate in March.
Premier Doug Ford said in a release, “The best way to protect Ontario is to build the most competitive economy in the G7, breaking down internal trade barriers and diversifying our trade so we can build a more resilient, prosperous and secure province.”
