Ontario Fire Marshal to investigate deadly apartment fire on Concession Street

A man has died and another is in critical condition after a fire on the Hamilton mountain.
Crews were called to 326 Concession St., across the street from Sam Lawrence Park, around 9:30 p.m. Monday.
Hamilton Fire Chief Dave Cunliffe says crews found a “well involved” fire in the four-storey apartment.
Two men were rescued from the apartment and taken to hospital.
One of them, a 55-year-old, was pronounced dead. A 58-year-old man is in critical condition.

Crews were able to put out the fire Tuesday night. Residents of the other units were able to go back in.
Cunliffe says there is significant damage to the one apartment.
The Ontario Fire Marshal has been called to investigate the cause of the fire.
