Ontario considering cancelling March Break to reduce spread of COVID-19

Parents and teachers should know by next week whether to cancel their March Break plans.

The province says it’s considering calling off the break in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Education Minister Stephen Lecce says he’ll make the call once he receives advice from the province’s chief medical officer of health.

On Wednesday, Lecce announced a plan to reopen schools that remain shuttered in parts of southern Ontario over the next two weeks.
