Ontario class size debate
The Ontario Government is bringing in a regulation that would limit class sizes from kindergarten to grade 12.
The new rule would see kindergarten classes have an average of 26 children.
Class sizes all the way up to grade 12 will average in the low to mid 20’s.
The government says this move will improve learning for students and help preserve teaching jobs.
The liberals have been embattled with teacher’s unions over their plan to freeze public sector wages.
