Ontario backs down on class sizes, e-learning in teacher negotiations

With a second mass demonstration at Queen’s Park planned for Thursday, Education Minister Stephen Lecce updated the Ford government’s position on class size and mandatory e-learning courses.

Lecce says the government is now offering an increase in average high school class sizes to 23, just one student over last year’s levels.

Lecce also announced that e-learning courses won’t be required to graduate and are allowing parents to opt their kids out of taking the online courses.
