One woman dead after single-vehicle crash in Niagara-on-the-lake

Niagara police are investigating a fatal car crash in Niagara-on-the-lake that happened Saturday night shortly after 10:30 p.m.

Police say it happened on York Road between Concession 1 Road and Concession 2 Road. Officers found a single vehicle that appeared to have rolled over.

A woman was pronounced dead at the scene. A man was extracted from the vehicle and he is currently in hospital in serious condition.

York Road between Concession 1 Road and Concession 2 Road was closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic as detectives investigated, but has since reopened.
