One person injured in shooting near NSA headquarters

At least one person has been injured in a shooting outside the U.S National Security Agency campus at Fort Meade, Maryland.
Aerial footage captures by local news outlet WJLA shows bullet holes in the front windshield of a black SUV. The vehicle appears to have crashed into concrete security barriers outside one of the gates.
In a Twitter post, the NSA confirmed there was an incident Wednesday morning. “NSA Police and local law enforcement are addressing an incident that took place this morning at one of NSA’s secure vehicle entry gates. The situation is under control and there is no ongoing security or safety threat.”
According to The Associated Press, Fort Meade garrison spokeswoman Cheryl Phillips confirmed by phone that one person was injured in the shooting outside the base and was taken to hospital.
Police are investigating the incident.
