One person injured in fire at St. Catharines apartment building

The Ontario Fire Marshal will be investigating a fire at an apartment in St. Catharines.

Fire fighters were called to the building on Wembly Dr. before 10 p.m. on Sunday.

There are was fire on a third-floor unit.

Fire officials say flames were knocked down quickly but crews remained on scene for most of the night, dousing hot spots and helping residents.

One man was injured.

The extent of the damage and the cause of the fire is not yet known.
