Update: One person dead after fall at Albion Falls, fall ruled as an accident

One person has been pronounced dead at Albion Falls and emergency crews had to perform a rope rescue for two others that are stuck.
Just before 5 p.m. Hamilton fire fighters were called to Albion Falls for a rope rescue. When they arrived a fire spokesperson said one person was pronounced dead after falling 40 meters.
The two others, believed to be friends of the victim, were also at the cliff in need of help. They were rescued by Hamilton fire crews and are not injured.
Hamilton Police detectives were at the scene for several hours tonight and after speaking with eye witnesses it was determined that the fall was accidental.
Police can confirm that the man in his 20’s is not from Hamilton but no other information is available at this time while they work to notify next of kin.
