One driver with serious injuries following crash in Oakville

Roads in Oakville have been reopened after a two vehicle crash left one man in critical condition.

The accident happened just after 7:30 a.m. in the area of Burnhamthorpe Road, between Ninth Line and Trafalgar Road. A 30-year-old man driving eastbound crossed over the centre line and struck another van traveling in the opposite direction.

The 57-year-old man who was struck was airlifted to hospital and is currently in critical condition, the other driver was treated on the scene for minor injuries. All westbound and eastbound lanes were closed for 4 hours as the police conducted an investigation.
