Hamilton police identify 23-year-old man fatally shot on Morris Ave.

Hamilton police are investigating a shooting that happened Sunday night and killed one person in the Delta neighbourhood.
Police responded to the area of Morris Ave. near Glendale Ave. and Dunsmure Rd. shortly after 8 p.m. and discovered a lone victim laying in the roadway.

He was reportedly suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
At a news conference held at 1 p.m. Monday, Det. Sgt. Sara Beck identified the victim as 23-year-old Everton Frost of Hamilton.

Investigators with the homicide unit believe it was a targeted shooting.

Residents can expect a continued police presence in the area throughout Monday as the investigation progresses.
This most recent shooting on Sunday evening marks the third shooting in Hamilton over the past weekend alone, and the seventh since the start of the month.
