One injured, $50K worth of damage in fire at Burlington home

One person has been injured in a house fire in Burlington.

Fire officials say they were called to the home on Maryvale Ct. around 7:30 p..m. Thursday.

Crews could see smoke and flames coming from the home when they arrived.

Six emergency vehicles and 17 personnel responded to the scene.

It took three hours to put out the blaze.

Officials say the fire began in the home’s garage. The suspected cause is electrical failure.

There were two people inside the home. One of them had minor injuries.

Damage is estimated at $50,000.
