One driver arrested, two licences suspended in Niagara RIDE campaign

One driver was arrested and two others had their licences suspended as part of Niagara police’s long weekend RIDE campaign.
Officers conducted RIDE checks in Port Colborne and St. Catharines on Saturday, stopping about 660 vehicles.
Police say 26 drivers were required to provide a breath sample. One driver failed and was arrested. Their licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded for a week.
Two others blew an alert and had their licences suspended for three days.
Police also issued three tickets for people having open liquor in a motor vehicle and six other tickets for seatbelt or driving offences.
