Ombudsman to look into smart meters

Ontario’s Ombudsman has smart meters in his sights.

According to a report Monday night in the Ottawa Citizen, Andre Marin will announce an investigation into the use of smart meters, specifically Hydro One’s billing practices when it comes to the devices which are supposed to give customers more control over their monthly electricity bill. But the meters have lead to a lot of headaches for consumers. Marin has an announcement set for Tuesday morning at 11am.
