OLG Casino battle
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation is still looking for a city to host a new casino.
Vaughan is the latest city to back out, reversing its original decision in May to take the gamble. Vaughan city council still has to meet at the end of the month to make a final decision.
The OLG says it respects the municipal decision process and will wait until its gets a definitive direction from Vaughan.
Toronto and Markham have already said no to a casino, and Mississauga hasn’t tabled the issue yet. The site of the casino will be selected in 2014.
