Old Dutch Foods Ltd. is recalling Old Dutch brand Cheddar & Sour Cream Potato Chips due to possible Salmonella contamination.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says the recall affects the 66 gram bag with a best before date of August 10, 2016 through February 24, 2017 and the 255 gram bag with a best before date of August 10, 2016 through March 02, 2017.
The product has been sold in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Ontario.
Consumers are advised to throw out the potato chips or return them to the store where they were purchased.
Food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick.
The CFIA says if you think you became sick from eating the chips, call your doctor.
