Oktoberfest is coming!

Oktoberfest is returning to Hamilton.

The event will take place Labour Day weekend at International Village. Organizer Susie Bratihwaite says it will feature food, beer gardens, shopping, and performances by Steven Page, and the band Poor Angus.

“We have such a beautiful part of downtown, and when come down here you kind of think, ‘wow, this is a really awesome place’, and you want to come back and you want to shop at the businesses and eat at the restaurants so that’s really the main focus, is drawing a crowd to this area to show people what we have to offer.”

Although Oktoberfest is usually held at the end of September, International Village chose to bump it up to August when the weather may be more co-operative.
