Oakville traffic stop leads to drug charges for 2 Mississauga women

Halton police arrested two young women and laid multiple drug charges after a failed traffic stop in Oakville on Saturday.
At around 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 16 police attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of Kobzar and Travertine drives. The driver of the car then sped away.
Police stopped the vehicle with the use of a tire deflation device near Trafalgar Road on the eastbound 407.
Two woman, both residents of Mississauga, were taken into custody and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl and Xanax.
Police named the duo as Alina Aleem, age 19, and Maryam Saleem, age 18.
Saleem was also charged with flight from police and dangerous operation of a vehicle, amongst other charges.
