Oakville polar dip raises funds for clean water

The 40th annual Courage Polar Bear Dip in Oakville raised money that will go to World Vision Canada to provide clean water in developing countries. A chilly day in January didn’t stop hundreds of people from jumping into Lake Ontario.
It was only around 3 degrees Celsius in Oakville, as hundreds of frosty thrill-seekers plunged into the frigid waters of Lake Ontario.
For some, it was about starting fresh in the new year.
The Courage Polar Dip partnered with World Vision Canada in 1995 and has raised nearly $2.5 million since then to support clean drinking water in developing countries.
