Oakville motorcyclist dead after crash

A 22-year-old motorcyclist from Oakville has died after a crash on Saturday.

The collision took place between a motorcycle going northbound on Trafalgar Rd. and a southbound vehicle attempting to turn left onto Iroquois shore Rd.

The man driving the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 29-year-old woman from Oakville was the driver of the vehicle. She sustained minor injuries.

The area was closed for over three hours as investigations took place. Speed is believed to be a contributing factor.
