Oakville house fire sends 3 to hospital, kills cat

A house fire in Oakville Tuesday night has sent three people to hospital for smoke inhalation and killed a cat.
At just around 11:30 p.m. in the area of Sixth Line near Upper Middle road, it was reported that a fire started in the basement of a home.
The Oakville Fire Department told CHCH News that the fire is not considered suspicious, and all residents escaped the fire and are being treated for smoke inhalation.
The road was closed for about one hour and firefighters have extinguished the blaze.
