Oakville fire

A house fire in Oakville has sent one person to hospital.

The call came in just before 10am for the blaze at 2361 Grand Oak Trail just east of Regional Road 25.

When fire crews arrived, smoke could be seem coming from the home.

A man was removed from the home and transported to hospital.

His condition is unknown.

A preliminary estimate of damage is over $350,000 as the fire spread from the kitchen to the roof.

Halton police is on scene and the Ontario Fire Marshal will be investigating.
