Oakville crash traps driver in vehicle Monday afternoon

Halton police are investigating an expensive crash between a work van and a Bentley in Oakville that left one driver trapped in their vehicle on Monday afternoon.

Officers say it happens around 4:30 p.m. on Upper Middle Rd. near Grosvenor St. when a work van and a Bentley Continental worth around $500,000.

The driver of the van was trapped as a result of the collision and had to be removed by firefighters.

Emergency officials say that the injuries sustained by the driver of the van are non-life-threatening.

Road closures were in effect as crews worked to free the trapped driver and investigate the incident, but have since re-opened.
