A Hamilton man who pled guilty to a coffee shop robbery, police chase, gunfight and a daring daylight jailbreak has been sentenced to 15 years behind bars.

27 year old Fawad Nouri will spend just over ten years in jail with time served.

He held up a Tim Horton’s on Hamilton Mountain back in January 2009.

In November of that year, he escaped with the help of former cell mates while being treated at Hamilton General Hospital.

He was re-captured days later.

His accomplice, Todd Fenty, was handed a six year sentence earlier this month.
