NOTL man faces child pornography charges: Niagara police

Niagara police have charged a 41-year-old man with child pornography offences after an eight-month investigation.

Officers opened the investigation in October 2021 into the sexual explotation of children on the internet.

Then on June 23, police executed a search warrant at a residence in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Investigators charged Chad William Ransome of Niagara-on-the-Lake with unlawful possession of child pornography and unlawful access of child pornography.

Ransome was held in custody before a scheduled bail hearing June 23.
