Norfolk County man killed after his car struck a loose horse in Oxford County

Provincial police have a identified a man who died after his car struck a horse in Oxford County early Wednesday morning.

Emergency crews were called to a collision on Oxford County Rd. 13 around 5:30 a.m.

Police say a vehicle struck horse that was loose on the road.

The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. He’s been identified as Arthur Ridgewell, 64, of Norfolk County.

Police say the horse also died as a result of the crash.
