Updated A year-long investigation into the Niagara Parks Commission has wrapped up.

Questions first arose in 2009 in connection with the contract to run the Maid of the Mist which had gone to the same company for 25 years without considering other bids.

A year later four executives were fired over expenses – with one of them racking up $400,000 in credit card over four years.

While audits found the commission often broke their own rules, the investigation by Niagara Regional Police and the OPP concluded there was no evidence of crime.
