Niagara to receive $$ for manufacturing

The government of Canada has announced funding for the manufacturing industry in Niagara.

Through a federal prosperity initiative, Niagara College will be getting up to $990,000 to establish the Industry Innovation Centre in the city. The “IICN” will provide small regional manufacturers access to needed facilities, equipment, technical expertise and services for product development. The Niagara Economic Development Corporation will also receive almost $600,000. That money will help establish support for Niagara’s small and medium-sized manufacturing businesses.
