Niagara region hardest hit by storm

Windy and snowy conditions greeted commuters in Southern Ontario this morning and the Niagara region was hardest hit. Drivers were battling white out conditions from Vineland to Port Colbourne and police were responding to more crashes than normal.
Brock University climatologist Tony Shaw says there is more of this wacky winter weather to come. “We are still in a a fairly warm faze of elnenio and that means there is a lot of instability in the weather. Some days it will be very cold and some will be quite warm.”
Niagara Police say there have been 19 car accidents over a 12 hour period from 12am to 12pm today to compare over the same time frame yesterday there were just 7.
