A pool in Niagara, closed because of a Giardia outbreak, will now re-open.

The Beacon Harbourside Inn swimming pool in Jordan has been closed since January. Giardia is a parasite that causes intestinal illness. There was a total of 75 cases in Niagara. Public Health says everything has been properly sanitized at the pool and the outbreak has been cleared.
