Niagara police seek woman after teen seriously injured in stabbing

Niagara police are looking for a 32-year-old woman following a stabbing in St. Catharines that left a teenage girl with serious injuries.

It happened around 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday in the area of Edith St. and St. Paul St. West.

Emergency crews said they found a teenage girl suffering from a serious stab wound when they arrived at the scene. Paramedics took the victim to a local hospital for further treatment.

Police said the suspect fled the scene before they arrived, but investigators have since identified her.

Officers issued an arrest warrant on Thursday for Samantha May Alligood, who has ties to the Western Hill area in St. Catharines.

Alligood is wanted for three charges, including aggravated assault, uttering threats and fail to comply with probation order.

She is described as Black, five-foot-five tall, 150 lbs, with brown eyes and black medium length hair. Alligood has the word “Jay” tattooed on her left forearm, a floral band on her left wrist and a music note on her right shoulder.

Police do not know where Alligood is located at this time.

Investigators are asking the public to not approach Alligood if they see her.
