Niagara police seek suspects in arson investigation in Port Colborne

Niagara police are looking for two suspects in arson investigation.

On August 14, at 6:08 a.m., police responded to a reported structure fire in the area of Steele Street and Division Street in Port Colborne.

Police say they found a camping trailer fully engulfed in flames. The fire was extinguished and police say the trailer was unoccupied at the time of the fire and no injuries were sustained.

Damage to the trailer is estimated to be $5,000.

Police say after consultation with the city of Port Colborne’s Fire Prevention Officer, the fire has been classified as an arson and a criminal investigation was commenced.

Detectives have obtained CCTV footage of two suspects believed to be responsible.

Suspect #1 is described as a white man, slender build, wearing a white cloth or shirt around his head, a black t-shirt, black jeans and white shoes.

Suspect #2 is described as wearing dark clothing.
