Niagara police are searching for a Scarborough man wanted in multiple jurisdictions across Ontario after a series of alleged death threats and harassment incidents.

Officers say they launched the investigation in March after receiving reports of harassment and death threats against a woman in the Niagara region.

Investigators say the man and woman were previously known to each other.

Thirty-year-old Jeremiah Rasheed Pooran is wanted for uttering a death threat, criminal harassment, failure to comply with a probation order, and failure to comply with a release order.

Authorities believe Pooran may be hiding in the Greater Toronto Area.

He is also wanted by Niagara police in connection with a 2024 investigation for uttering threats, failure to comply with a probation order (2), failure to comply with a release order, and disobeying a court order.

Pooran is also wanted by three other police services in Ontario.

Officers add that anyone knowingly helping Pooran evade arrest may face charges themselves.

Anyone with relevant information about this case or Pooran’s whereabouts is asked to contact police at 905-688-4111, option 3, ext. 1009285.
