Niagara police search for 2 suspects following armed robbery in Fort Erie

Niagara police are searching for two suspects following a residential robbery in Fort Erie that left a 21-year-old man with minor injuries.

Police say the robbery happened around 6 a.m. on Wednesday in the area of Courtwright Street near Central Avenue.

The victim, a 21-year-old Fort Erie resident, said two men knocked on his door and when he answered it they demanded he hand over his personal belongings.

Police say one of the suspects took out a gun and fired once at the victim, missing him, and then the pair physically assaulted the victim before he was able to run away and call police.

The Forensic Services Unit is assisting detectives with this investigation and one suspect has been identified.

Shawn Leonard George-Isaacs, 23, of no fixed address is wanted for one count of robbery with a firearm.

He is considered to be armed and dangerous as the involved firearm from the incident was never recovered. Members of the public should contact 911 immediately if they see him.

The other suspect is described as a Black man in his early 20s, about six-feet tall, with an average build and dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing a red sweater and dark pants.
