Niagara police report 16 thefts from parked cars in Smithville

Niagara police have learned of five more thefts from parked cars in West Lincoln.
Officers originally reported that three suspects entered at least 11 vehicles throughout Smithville on Sept. 21. After further investigation, police determined there were 16 related incidents.
The value of the items stolen from the parked vehicles is estimated to be over $5000.
Detectives also found photos of two more suspects.
Police say the trio is responsible for stealing a gold 2010 Ford Taurus four-door with licence plate BWBY461 and a red 2013 Hyundai Veloster with licence plate CMKN134.
Officers canvassed the area and obtained images of the suspects and a white SUV they were allegedly using the night of the thefts.
Investigators learned some of the credit cards that were stolen from the vehicles were used at stores in Hamilton. Police released an image of a man accused of using one of the cards. He can be seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and carrying a satchel with a yellow shoulder strap.
