Niagara police looking for armed robber in St. Catharines

Niagara Regional Police are asking for help looking for a man who robbed an Avondale store at gunpoint around 3 a.m. Monday.

Police say the man entered the Avondale on Scott Street in St. Catharines with a gun and demanded money from the store clerk.

NRPS say the thief ran away from the store and was last seen on Vine Street. The clerk wasn’t hurt.

The man is described as six feet tall, around 250 pounds and was wearing a black toque and a black sweater with grey stripes.
