UPDATE: Highway 20 in Thorold re-opened Monday morning. Niagara Police continue to investigate weekend shooting.

Niagara Police have identified two additional victims following an overnight shooting at a Thorold nightclub.

Five people in total have been shot and they are all being treated in hospital and are expected to survive.

The shooting happened around 4:45 a-m outside the L8 Club at the corner of Highway 20 and Thorold Townline Road.

Police said shots were fired from a vehicle that was leaving the area and are actively searching for two gunmen who took off in a dark coloured sedan.

Highway 20 remains closed between Highway 58 and Thorold Townline Road while officers continue this investigation.

The motive behind this shooting is still unknown.
