Niagara Police investigating after pill found inside Halloween candy

Niagara Police say an over-the-counter pill used to treat motion sickness was found inside some Halloween candy given out in Welland.

A concerned parent took the pill to police in Port Colborne after finding it hidden inside their child’s candy.

The child is believed to have been trick-or-treating in the Marshall Avenue and Kilgor Avenue area.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers of Niagara or the Welland Criminal Investigation Branch of Niagara Regional Police.
