Niagara police investigating after boy struck by a driver in West Lincoln

Niagara police are investigating after a boy suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a driver in West Lincoln.
At 3:17PM we responded to a serious collision in West Lincoln after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on West St near Wade Rd. West Rd at Wade Rd is closed east to the area of the Library. Closures will be in place for at least the next 3-4 hours.

Officers were called to the area of West St. near Wade Rd. shortly before 3:30 p.m. Monday.
The boy was treated at the scene and taken to a local hospital before being transferred via ground ambulance to an out-of-region hospital.
His condition has since been upgraded from life threatening.
Police say the boy was struck by a 30-year-old woman driving a Toyota Corolla.
The investigation is ongoing.
