Niagara police investigate convenience store robbery

Niagara police are searching for a man after a convenience store in St. Catharines was robbed Monday night.

Officers were called to the Avondale Food Store on Bunting Rd. around 9:30 p.m.

Police say a man walked into the store and demanded cash from the employee. He fled the store with the money before police arrived on scene.

Investigators are looking for a white male, roughly six-feet tall with a slender build.

Police say no one was physically injured during the robbery.
