Niagara police identify woman struck by vehicle in Grimsby

Niagara police are thanking the public for its help in identifying a woman who was struck by a car in Grimsby on Monday.

The woman was struck by a car travelling southbound on Mountain Rd. near Elm Tree Rd. East around 10 p.m.

She suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to an out of town hospital for treatment.

Police say the woman, who has now been identified as a 34-year-old, remains in hospital in critical but stable condition.

Police did not release her name.

The collision remains under investigation by the Collision Reconstruction Unit.

Police have not laid any charges at this time.
