Members of the Niagara police are getting some good news when it comes to wages.

An arbitrator has handed Niagara Regional Police Service officers a 3.05% wage hike.

That matches what the the police association was asking for. The Police Services Board was asking for a 1.02% increase. There were also improvements in benefits and shift premiums. The arbitrator sided with the board on some changes to sick leave. The increase covers a one year contract for the year 2012.
