Niagara police continue to investigate sexual assault on hiking trail in Thorold

Police continue to investigate a sexual assault that occurred in September along a hiking trail in the Mel Swart Lake Gibson Conservation Park area in Thorold.
Niagara police have released a composite sketch of the suspect described by the victim.
The suspect is described as white, 5 ft., 11 in., around 200 lbs. and 30 to 40 years of age.
He has brown eyes, a tanned complexion with freckles on his cheeks, and light brown short hair and mustache.
He was wearing a charcoal grey hoodie and blue jeans at the time.
Police say the man called the victim the name “Maggie” numerous times during the incident.
The victim’s name is not Maggie and police say they believe this name may have relevance to the suspect.
