Niagara police charge 3 men after seizing over $12K in cocaine

Three men are facing drug-related charges after Niagara police seized nearly $13,000 worth of cocaine during a traffic stop.
Officers noticed a prohibited driver operating a black 2015 Lexus IS shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Lundy’s Lane and Kalar Rd. in Niagara Falls.
The driver attempted to climb into the back seat as police pulled over the vehicle. Jordan Timothy Downey, 29, was then arrested and charged for driving while prohibited.
Officers also seized $12,890 worth of cocaine and $8,000 CAD believed to have been acquired through the proceeds of crime.

Downey, along with passengers 29-year-old Quintin Joseph Thomas and 25-year-old Matthew Darren Dudley Goodman, were charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Downey, Thomas and Goodman remain in custody and are scheduled to attend a bail hearing later Thursday.
