Niagara police arrest one after stabbing in St. Catharines

Niagara police arrested and charged a person in connection with a stabbing in St. Catharines.

On Monday, officers were called to the area of Church Street and Carlisle Street following the report of a stabbing.

Police say when officers arrived, they located a woman with injuries. She was transported to an out-of-town hospital for treatment for her injuries which were believed to be serious. Police say she has since been listed in stable condition. Police say the woman was involved in an altercation with another group of people when the incident occurred.

Shortly after the incident, a person was identified and arrested. Jodi Turner, 20, of St. Catharines is charged with assault with a weapon.
