Niagara police arrest man, 37, for sexual assault in Skylon Tower

Niagara police have arrested a man for allegedly sexual assaulting a woman in the Skylon Tower on Boxing Day.

Police say the incident happened at the arcade inside the Skylon Tower in Niagara Falls shortly before 8 p.m. on Monday.

The woman was leaving the bathroom when she was approached from behind by the man who sexually assaulted her, police say.

The woman sustained minor physical injuries and was taken to a local hospital. She has been released and continues to recover at home.

Officers attended a house in the area of Morrison St. and Homewood Ave. in Niagara Falls where the suspect was found and arrested.

Mathew Graham Archer, 37, of Niagara Falls has been arrested and charged with sexual assault.

Archer is being held in custody for a bail hearing and will appear at a St. Catharines courthouse on Friday.
