Niagara police arrest 32-year-old man in gun trafficking investigation

One man has been arrested and charged after Niagara police officers found large amounts of illegal drugs and guns in his possession.
On Thursday, officers executed a search warrant at a home in Niagara Falls as part of an ongoing firearms trafficking investigation.
During the search, police found 77 grams of cocaine, 6.9 grams of fentanyl, ten guns, multiple cellphones, and $1,600 in cash.
Sandro Tomazinic, 32, of Niagara Falls, was arrested and charged with the following:
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon x 2
- Weapons trafficking
- Possession of a firearm contrary to probation order
- Possession of fentanyl contrary to probation order
- Possession of cocaine contrary to probation order
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Failure to comply with release order.
Tomazinic was held in custody pending a bail hearing, which took place April 4 via video conferencing. He was remanded into custody.
