Niagara police arrest 2 people in human trafficking investigation

Niagara police arrested two people on Thursday in connection with a human trafficking investigation.
Investigators say a woman was trafficked for a sexual purpose in the region. They have identified a man and woman from St. Catharines as suspects.
Kendra Karen Candler, 22, and Lavelle Tait, 28, are facing multiple trafficking-related charges. This includes advertising another person’s sexual services.

Candler and Tait are scheduled to attend a bail hearing at a St. Catharines courthouse on Friday.
Investigators say they have reason to believe there could be further victims.
